Confusing card payment system but works fine once you figure it out. To pay by card: you have to click Join and type a random number that matches the length of a Korean phone number. If you have an eSIM, you can just use that one (no SMS needed). Then create a password, and you’re good to go. You have an "account" that you can use in other cleantopia’s spots. I’d give it 5 stars if the payment system had a clear English translation. It’s 21st century this really shouldn’t be that confusing. Also, if the main payment option is coins directly to machine, there should be a coin machine available, like come on.

The guy from the hostel recommendet this coin laundry and we loved it. It’s brand new and seems like it is from the future. I‘m not from Korea and I don’t understand the writing at all. This was a bit of an issue because almost all the instructions were written in korean. Google translator in this case was very handy. What’s good, you can pay by card and don’t have to mess around with coins. You only have to open up an account but this is done in minutes. I’m not sure if it is possible without an korean mobile phone number though. Detergent is applied by the machine automatically, you don’t have to buy it separately. All in all this was a cool experience and we would come back again if we would stay in Sokcho for longer.
